Marketing, Advertising vs. Branding

"Marketing is the image that you are trying to present to others."

"If marketing is how you see yourself, advertising describes your actions."

(I would say that advertising is the clothes you pay for, the places you pay to be.)

"While marketing is how you want others to see you, branding is how they actually do."

(I would say that branding is the intangible that people associate with you - the emotions that you conger up.)
